Each week during the season, we’re going through the Eagles’ media guide to find an interesting nugget.

This week’s chat was with backup quarterback Nate Sudfeld.

Here it is:

Me: It says your surprising talent is at Pop-a-Shot. Is that true?

Sudfeld: I don’t want to brag, but yeah, I am good at Pop-a-Shot. You know, we kind of shoot it different here. We sort of back it up like free throws. I’d take my shot vs. anybody on the team. But in terms of just quick shot I’d take myself.

Me: OK, who’s second best?

NS: Rasul is pretty good. Rasul Douglas. JP’s (Jason Peters) not bad. He thinks he’s better than he is. But he’s one of the best trash-talkers.

Me: Well, that counts.

NS: Yeah, he can get in your head. Kamu (Grugier-Hill) is solid. I’d take myself first.

Me: Does that translate to the basketball court?

NS: We haven’t had a chance for all of us to go play, but I’d take my shot, my three-point shot, my free throw shot off the dribble up there with anybody. In terms of actual basketball playing, too hard to say. I’ve heard great stories about Nick (Foles) and Alshon (Jeffery) and things, but I think I could compete in there a little bit.

Me: Have you ever seen Nick play? Because it’s a big topic around here.

NS: It’s lore. I’ve never seen him actually play. But I’ve heard a lot of stories. But probably this offseason, him and I will probably get on the court sometimes.

Me: Thanks, man. Appreciate it.

NS: Thank you.
