After selecting 10 players in the 2020 draft, the Eagles will likely enter this year’s draft with a total of 11 picks.

Will they really pick 11 players?

We’ll find out soon enough. For this exercise they are. Here’s a seven-round, Eagles-only mock draft:

2/12

If the Eagles aren’t looking to draft a quarterback, then they’ll be excited if QBs start coming off the board in front of them because it’ll push good players down. NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah said there’s a case to be made that Pitts is the best overall player in this draft. While I’d probably still lean toward Ja’Marr Chase if it came down to those two, Pitts would make a lot of sense with the No. 6 pick. He’s a tight end but he's so dynamic. He’s a matchup nightmare and the ball doesn’t care if it’s a receiver or tight end catching it.

Stokes ran a blazing fast 40 at the Georgia pro day last week (4.25) and maybe that’s enough to sneak into the end of the first round. But every year there are like 40 players who many consider to be first-round picks and not all 40 can go in the first. So the Eagles can get a very good player at 37 and Stokes would fit that. In 2020, Stokes had four interceptions for the Bulldogs and took two to the house.

This would be such a fun pick for Nick Sirianni and the Eagles’ offensive coaches. Rodgers (5-10, 212) is an impressive player from the slot and would give the Eagles some explosiveness at that position. If the Eagles drafted Pitts and Rodgers, they would own the middle of the field with impossible matchups. In 2020, he caught 77 passes for 1,020 yards (13.2) and 7 touchdowns.

Smith was a JUCO bounce back from Florida after his alleged involvement in a credit card scheme back. After going to Butler CC for a year, Smith went to UAB and had a very productive two seasons. Smith (6-6, 255) had 12 1/2 sacks in 21 games at UAB and also had 23 1/2 TFLs. After playing as an outside linebacker in college, Smith would need to transition to a 4-3 end in Jonathan Gannon’s system. There might be some growing pains but there’s enough pass rush ability to make him an intriguing Day 2 pick.

Cisco played just two games in 2020 before his season ended with an injury, but before then his college career was full of big plays. In three seasons at Syracuse, he had 13 interceptions and 14 pass breakups. His best season came as a freshman back in 2018 when he was the ACC Defensive Rookie of the Year.

7/12

Fields had a very good showing at the Senior Bowl so maybe he’ll be gone by the time the fifth round rolls around but there’s plenty to like about Fields. After spending three seasons at Arizona, Fields (6-1, 220) had a big season for the Mountaineers in 2020 with 88 tackles, 4 TFLs and an interception in nine games.

Are the Eagles in desperate need of a running back? No. But they have 11 picks so indulge me. Jefferson (5-10, 217) is a well-built runner who would be a nice complement to Miles Sanders in the backfield. In six games in 2020, he had 858 yards (6.5) and 7 touchdowns. He’s not a natural pass-catcher (so the Eagles would need to work with him on that) but he’s a pretty good runner to get in the sixth round.

9/12

Johnson (6-2, 290) played three seasons for the Buffs, totaling 15 sacks and 26 TFLs. He’s not the biggest interior lineman but he has some raw pass rush ability and with a late-sixth round pick, the Eagles could do worse. He played as a DE in Colorado’s 3-4, but I like him to start as an agile 3-technique in the Eagles’ 4-3.

10/12

Welcome to the Quarterback Factory. Even if the Eagles don’t use their first-round pick on a QB, my guess is they still draft a developmental guy at some point, especially if they use all 11 picks. Costello (6-5, 225) played his senior season at Mississippi State after starting his career at Stanford. In six games in 2020, Costello completed 64.1% of his passes for 1,283 yards with 6 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. After three years in Stanford’s pro system, Costello didn’t have a good year in the Air Raid in 2020. His stock is pretty low heading into the draft but he has a big arm and has enough raw tools for coaches to be intrigued.

11/12

Rugamba (5-10, 190) began his career at Iowa but finished it with Miami (Ohio) and thrived in the MAC in 2019 but played in just three games in 2020. Still, Rugamba has the necessary traits to be a nickel corner at the next level.

12/12

Morrissey (6-3, 300) isn’t the biggest center but he was a four-year starter at Pittsburgh. He’s also a local product from La Salle College High School. At Pitt, he began his career as a walk-on but played in 47 games and became a team captain.
