NFL Network to air 2 Eagles Super Bowl specials Wednesday

Before the Eagles open the 2018-19 season Thursday vs. the Falcons, it's time for one last look back at the Super Bowl before gearing up for this season.

NFL Network will air two Eagles specials Wednesday, Sept. 5: "Philly Special: Doug Pederson and the 2017 Eagles" airs at 8 p.m. and is followed by "America's Game: 2017 Eagles" at 9 p.m. on NFL Network.

The first show focuses on the coaches and front office: The hiring of Doug Pederson, the drafting of Carson Wentz, calling the Philly Special, etc. All told through interviews with Pederson, owner Jeff Lurie, general manager Howie Roseman, as well as other members of the coaching staff.

The second special focuses more on the on-field play and the season told through the voices of Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, Brandon Graham and LeGarrette Blount. The specials promise exclusive all-access interviews and insight into the Eagles' improbable run.

"When I knocked that ball out and I put it on the ground and I saw Derek Barnett pick it up, the first thing I thought about was we won the game for Philly. It was like heaven on earth," Brandon Graham says during the special.

The 2018-19 Eagles are ready to move on to the upcoming season, so sadly we should too. But for one night, fans can enjoy the Eagles' triumph and Tom Brady's well-deserved failure one last time.
