Nick Foles' injury reportedly not as serious as 1st feared

It certainly didn’t look good last night when Nick Foles was carted off the field in the waning stages of the Bears-Vikings Monday Night Football game.

The Eagles Super Bowl hero suffered an apparent hip/leg injury and held his body very still as the cart took him inside.

But some good news about Foles this morning from NFL Network:

“Despite how that looked, initial tests are extremely positive,” Mike Garafolo said. “There was no sign of a break, according to sources, in the hip. That is the area they are focused on with Nick Foles."

After the 19-13 loss to the Vikings last night, the Bears are on their bye week. And, according to that report, there’s some hope that Foles, 31, will be able to return after the bye.

Whether or not they play him is another story. Because Mitchell Trubisky might be back as well and things haven’t gone very well for Foles.

This season, he has a 2-5 record with the Bears. He has completed 65% of his passes for 1,852 yards with 10 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.

Since leaving Philadelphia after the 2018 season, Foles has a 2-9 record (0-4 with the Jaguars, 2-5 with the Bears) with 13 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a passer rating of 82.0.
