With so much action on Eagles, Super Bowl spread changes

People are starting to believe in the Eagles ... so what now?

After opening as 5½-point underdogs against the Patriots in Super Bowl LII, the spread is down to 4½ points.

Twice as many people have bet on the Eagles as have bet on the Patriots, and almost three times more money is on the Eagles at Caesar's Palace, according to ESPN Chalk writer David Payne Purdum.

When the spread first came out, the Eagles were the biggest Super Bowl underdog since the Cardinals against the Steelers after the 2008 season. But all the action on the Eagles has moved the line.

Keep in mind, also, that prior to the NFC Championship Game, Bovada set its early line at Eagles +7 should they meet the Pats in the Super Bowl.

How low can it go?

And since it's never too early to look ahead, the Eagles have the third-best odds to win the Super Bowl next season, according to Las Vegas Sports Superbook. The Eagles are 10/1, behind only the Patriots (4/1) and Steelers (8/1).
