Cornerback Cre'Von LeBlanc has a Lisfranc sprain, according to league sources. It's the same type of injury Jalen Mills suffered in 2018, which required season-ending surgery. In LeBlanc’s case, he will not require surgery.
The Eagles are hoping to have LeBlanc back by mid-to-late September, but because every player heals differently, there’s a possibility he could be out until November.
The Eagles picked up LeBlanc off waivers in November of last year. As the season wore on and his playing time increased, LeBlanc began to shine. The Eagles are really pleased with his development.
It was believed that he would battle in training camp for a starting job and at the very least see significant playing time this season.
The LeBlanc injury explains why the Eagles went out and signed CB Orlando Scandrick to add depth to that position.
