But Terrell Owens has accused Donovan McNabb of going out drinking the night before Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville after the 2004 season.
Owens made the comment in a video clip from an episode of a Bleacher Report video show called Untold Stories with Master Tesfatsion that was posted Wednesday on Facebook.
“I’ve talked to teammates since then and know for a fact that he was out the night before, he was out the night before, before the biggest game pretty much all of our career,” Owens said while playing pool with Tesfatsion. “People that saw him out the night before said he was drinking, and I think that attributed to him throwing up in the huddle.”
In the 10-minute interview, T.O. rehashes a lot of the same stuff we’ve heard from both McNabb and Owens over the last decade and a half.

But T.O. accusing McNabb of drinking the night before the Super Bowl and it affecting his play is new.
McNabb threw for 357 yards and three touchdowns plus three interceptions in the Super Bowl, which the Patriots won, 24-21.
Owens caught 9 passes for 122 yards two months after suffering a broken leg in a game against the Cowboys.

The Super Bowl didn't kick off until 6:38 p.m. ET on Feb. 6, 2005, and the Eagles did have a curfew the night before at their hotel — the Sawgrass resort in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.
“He’s obviously had a history of condition problems,” Owens said of McNabb. “So for me, knowing all this information, I felt like that was irresponsible, especially for somebody of his caliber, his status, to obviously be the leader of the team and you’re out the night before the biggest game of your career, you’re out drinking or what have you, and then that maybe contributed to him throwing up in the huddle. It’s just not good.”
Owens spoke about his nonexistent relationship with McNabb and how he’s tried to reconcile with him, adding, “He’s phony. I thought we had squashed it, but then all this resurfaces again.”
McNabb and Owens played only 22 games together, with Owens catching 133 passes for 2,085 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Owens was suspended halfway through the 2005 season for conduct detrimental to the team and never played for the Eagles again. He finished his career with the Bengals in 2010.
McNabb lasted in Philadelphia through 2009 before getting traded to Washington, where he went 5-8 in 13 starts before getting benched. He finished his career with the Vikings in 2011.
Owens mocked McNabb for getting benched in 2010.
“He’s supposed to be one of the top quarterbacks in the league in his mind?" Owens said. "You can’t go to Washington and not beat out Rex Grossman.”
I’m sure Donovan will respond at some point.
