Washington got a few key players off the Reserve/COVID-19 list this weekend but have added another big name.
All-Pro right guard Brandon Scherff is now on the list, Washington announced.

It also means that Scherff would have been able to play on Sunday at 1 p.m. if the NFL hadn’t already moved the game to Tuesday at 7 p.m. So while Washington has gotten a few key players back, including DT Jonathan Allen, they’re also losing a four-time Pro Bowl guard.
The news about Scherff comes a day after the Eagles were forced to put their starting left guard, Landon Dickerson, on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Without Dickerson, the Eagles will likely start veteran Sua Opeta at left guard.

While the WFT added Scherff to the list, they also removed DT Matt Ioannidis.

That means Washington’s COVID-19 list stands at 16 players: QB Kyle Allen, S Troy Apke, DE Will Bradley-King, S Kam Curl, LB Milo Eifler, S Darrick Forrest, CB Kendall Fuller, QB Taylor Heinicke, TE Temarrick Hemingway, LB Khaleke Hudson, C Tyler Larsen, T Cornelius Lucas, LB David Mayo, TE Sammis Reyes, OG Brandon Scherff, DT Tim Settle, RB Wendell Smallwood.
Although there’s a good chance some more will come off the list before kickoff.

The Eagles, meanwhile, have just one player (Dickerson) on their COVID-19 list. Quez Watkins and Jason Huntley were removed from the list this weekend.
