Flyers fans sighing of relief (for now) — on to the 2nd round!

Did you just hear that sound? 

It was the entire city of Philadelphia sighing of relief once the 60 minutes were up and reality finally hit — the Flyers won their first playoff series since 2012.

From the NHL’s return-to-play, things have just felt different, haven’t they? 

First, they make their way to the top seed in the east — something that hasn’t been done in 20 years. 

Next, they win a playoff series for the first time in eight years.

Some may say these are small victories, but honestly, we all know those people don’t know what they’re talking about. 

The feeling of calmness will only linger for a day or two before focus shifts to the second round — but enjoy this feeling, Flyers fans — you’ve earned it. 

It’s been a *very* long time since winning has felt like this for hockey in Philadelphia and everyone is believing in the orange and black. 

And of course, Gritty had to put his two cents in on the series wrapping up. 

So, until we hit the Eastern Conference Semifinals, let’s relish in this feeling — my gut says it’s not going away any time soon.
