Flyers 2019 Stadium Series jersey unveiled

Last Stadium Series game in 2016-17, the Flyers went all black.

For this year's event at Lincoln Financial Field, the Flyers are going orange.

Very orange … and not much white.

The Flyers-Penguins 2019 Stadium Series jerseys were officially unveiled Friday. The rivals get to sport black this time around, while the Flyers will rock orange with a black logo and very little white, outside of the Stadium Series logo on the shoulder.

Something tells us fans will prefer the Flyers' Stadium Series sweaters from 2017.

Those are seen a bunch every game at the Wells Fargo Center, while the team still wears the jersey as an alternate, often on Saturday home games.

The Penguins wore yellow, but it looked OK with the balance of black and white.

Give it time, though. The Flyers' jerseys will grow on you, just like Gritty did. The sweaters have a bit of an old-school vibe with the simplicity of them and they'll look pretty cool when the players hit the ice under the lights at the Linc on Feb. 23.

Tickets have been on sale since mid-October.

Now the jerseys are, too, reminding us that the latest chapter of the Flyers-Penguins rivalry will be here before we know it.
