Olle Lycksell, a 2017 sixth-round draft pick who has been playing in the Swedish Hockey League, signed his entry-level contract with the Flyers on Wednesday.

At the top pro level in Sweden, the 21-year-old center had nine goals and 12 assists over 46 games this season with Farjestads. His last three seasons have come in the SHL.

"Olle Lycksell has continued to grow his overall game since being drafted in 2017," Flyers assistant general manager Brent Flahr said in a release from the team. "It's taken some time for him to mature physically but he's worked hard on his body and overall game. He had a strong second half for Farjestads and we look for him to continue to grow his game."

The 5-foot-11, 176-pound Lycksell has always been fun to watch at development camps because of his skilled hands and propensity to make a highlight-reel type of move.

The Flyers heavily scout and often draft SHL products. During 2020-21, the club had five prospects play parts of the season in the SHL — Lycksell, Linus Sandin, Adam Ginning, Samuel Ersson and Emil Andrae.
