• Alain Vigneault can appreciate sentimental value.
It came into play when deciding his starting goalies for the club's current back-to-back set.
The head coach had Carter Hart start in Edmonton, Alberta. The 23-year-old is from Sherwood Park, which is right outside of Edmonton.

As Hart got his homecoming in a 5-3 win over the Oilers, Martin Jones will get his when he takes the net in Vancouver, British Columbia. The 31-year-old goalie knows Rogers Arena well. His dad Harvey Jones has worked in arena operations for the Canucks since 1994.
Vigneault was head coach of Vancouver from 2006 to 2013.
"Jonesy, him and his dad and me go real far back," Vigneault said last month during training camp. "His dad was in charge of the rink when I was in Vancouver, so I was with him for seven years, saw the kid grow up a little bit, more in junior hockey there."
Jones, the North Vancouver native, has played well when facing his dad's team. In his career against the Canucks, Jones is 9-3-1 with a 2.00 goals-against average and .935 save percentage.
• Ryan Ellis' status for tonight is unknown. The top-pair defenseman has missed the last two games with a day-to-day undisclosed injury.
Patrick Brown is expected to make his Flyers debut on the fourth line either tonight or Saturday against the Flames (10 p.m. ET/NBCSP+).
If Zack MacEwen remains in the lineup tonight, he'll be playing his former team. The Flyers claimed the winger off of waivers from the Canucks just over two weeks ago.
We should know more on all of the above when Vigneault holds his pregame media availability later with reporters in Vancouver.
