Eagles, Philly officially Flyer'd up for NHL playoffs

We’ve watched the Flyers fight and earn their way to the No. 1 seed in the east.

We’ve had highlights of the Flyers and Canadiens in the playoffs.

We’ve seen hype videos that feel like they’re more along the lines of movie trailers.

If you’re still not pumped for the first round, there’s one more thing that could do the trick — classic Jason Kelce.

The Eagles on Wednesday sent their well wishes to the Flyers on social media with a video from the center himself. After his epic Super Bowl parade speech in 2018, he essentially became Philadelphia’s own personal hype man.

No complaints here.

He officially turned his quarantine beard into a playoff beard, but let’s hope he knows that he now can’t shave it until the end of the Flyers’ run.

Eagles’ safety Will Parks, a Philadelphia native, also expressed his excitement for the Flyers.

And Swoop … is doing Swoop things. Though he did find a way to show off his custom Flyers sweater.

The epic thread was released hours after the entire city went orange as a way to kick off summer playoff hockey in Philadelphia (well, technically Toronto) for the first time ever. From Aug. 11-13, buildings all over will be showing their support for the Flyers.

Banners and murals were also placed all across popular areas in the city for fans to see.

It’s safe to say Philly is Flyer’d up and ready to go. Are you?

Puck drop for game one against the Canadiens is set for 8 p.m. on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
