Flyers have MVP-like lift in Las Vegas

It feels like it wasn't that long ago when Flyers fans called for Bryce Harper to "come home" during the February 2019 Stadium Series game at Lincoln Financial Field.

Fast-forward to December 2021 and Harper is in fact a Phillie and he's the 2021 National League MVP.

On Friday, Harper welcomed the Flyers to his offseason home of Las Vegas. The Phillies' slugger visited the orange and black at T-Mobile Arena after their morning skate. The Flyers face the Golden Knights at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSP.

Harper posted a picture on his Instagram account of himself and Kevin Hayes with the following message: "Thanks to the boys for having me out this morning!🏒 #ferda"

The Flyers probably appreciated the timing of Harper's visit. They're stuck in a 10-game losing streak and trying to turn their season around. Some MVP motivation certainly can't hurt on the road.

Harper is a native of Las Vegas and a Golden Knights fan. But one wouldn't be surprised if he's pulling for the Flyers tonight to snap their skid and jump back into the win column.
