The day after Pennsylvania governor Tom Wolf announced revised restrictions for maximum occupancy at events, the city of Philadelphia followed suit, meaning no governmental regulations prohibit fans from attending upcoming games at Wells Fargo Center.

The arena announced that it will host approximately 3,100 fans for Flyers and Sixers games beginning Sunday.

Philadelphia health commissioner Dr. Thomas Farley announced in a press conference Tuesday that, consistent with the state’s new guidelines, the city will allow for 20 percent of maximum occupancy at outdoor events and 15 percent of maximum occupancy at indoor events.

"Factoring in state and local regulations, NHL and NBA guidance, and the arena’s own strict health and safety protocols, Wells Fargo Center will initially be able to host approximately 3,100 fans for Flyers and 76ers games," the arena said in a press release. "Today’s announcement comes after months of close coordination with state and city health officials, extensive, science-backed research into similar arena re-openings, and input from leading medical experts. Even with this initially limited capacity, hundreds of part-time employees will be brought back to work for each Flyers and 76ers home game."

Sixers president of business operations Chris Heck released the following statement Tuesday:

Fans who attend games will be required to complete a health assessment questionnaire, maintain at least six feet of distance between fans outside of their immediate party and wear a face covering at all times. Bags will be prohibited in the arena. More details on health and safety protocols are available here

The Flyers will play three straight games on the road in Pittsburgh beginning Tuesday night, with the Penguins hosting fans for the first time this season. The team’s next game at Wells Fargo Center is Sunday against the Capitals.

According to the Flyers' website, "Inside Edge and Premium Seating Members with 2021-22 season plans will be the first to gain access to purchase tickets to available upcoming games." Only tickets for games in March are currently available for sale.

The Sixers will conclude their first-half schedule with a game Wednesday vs. the Jazz. Their next home game is a March 14 matchup with the Spurs. Information on purchasing tickets for Sixers games is available here

The Phillies will permit 8,800 fans at each home game, they announced Tuesday. The team’s regular season begins on April 1 at Citizens Bank Park against the Braves.
