No. 12 Villanova received bad news on the injury front just over 24 hours before a huge game at No. 8 Virginia.

The school announced on Friday morning that freshman guard Donte DiVincenzo will miss the next 4-6 weeks with fracture of the fifth metatarsal bone in his right foot.

"We're disappointed for Donte," Villanova head coach Jay Wright said in a release. "He has made such great progress as a freshman and we were counting on him to make a big contribution. Donte will work hard to get back and I know he will be better because of this."

DiVincenzo missed last Sunday's 76-47 win over La Salle. He last played in Villanova's 78-55 blowout loss to Oklahoma on Joint Base Pearl Harbor in Hawaii on Dec. 7.

In eight games played this season, the Wilmington, Del. native has averaged 1.9 points, two rebounds and two assists in an averaged 9.3 minutes off the bench.

Saturday's game between the Wildcats and Cavaliers is scheduled to tip-off at noon.
