Eagles Injury Update: Darren Sproles, Leodis McKelvin return to practice

The Eagles got two key players back at practice on Thanksgiving morning.

Darren Sproles (fractured seventh rib) and Leodis McKelvin (concussion) were both full participants in Thursday's practice after sitting out Wednesday.

Because McKelvin was able to practice, it means he has cleared the NFL's concussion protocol and should be good to go on Monday against the Packers. Sproles is expected to be able to play on Monday too. He has a fractured rib, but as long as he can play through the pain, he will.

Still not practicing on Thursday were Connor Barwin (knee bruise), Ryan Mathews (MCL sprain) and Halapoulivaati Vaitai (MCL sprain). Steven Means (illness) was also held out on Thursday.

Vaitai's injury is the most significant; he's listed as week to week and the Eagles won't have him on Monday.

Earlier in the week, Pederson said if Mathews played, "he'd have to probably be in more of a backup role."

Safety Terrence Brooks (hamstring) was also a full participant on Thursday. He has missed the last couple games with his injury.

The Eagles do get an extra day of rest this week before Monday night's game against the Packers. That could help guys like Sproles, Mathews and Barwin.
