According to ESPN, former Eagles wide receiver Josh Huff was not a no-show at his court date Tuesday, as previously reported by multiple outlets.

Huff's attorney Andrew Smith told ESPN's Jenna Laine of ESPN that he appeared on behalf of Huff, who after being arrested on Nov. 1 was released by the Eagles but signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

"I formally entered his attorney appearance in the case and spoke to the prosecutor's office, explaining Josh's recent move to Florida for employment reasons," Smith told ESPN. "Consequently, Josh's appearance at the case screening today became unnecessary in light of those circumstances."

Earlier, it had been reported that Huff was an inexplicable no-show.

"If the defendant was here, (I would) read them their rights and advise of them their responsibilities," judge Robert T. Zane told NJ.com. "He is not here, so I'm not going to do that."

Huff was due in court because he was arrested after being pulled over on the Walt Whitman Bridge. He's been charged for unlawful possession of a firearm and hollow point bullets. He's also facing charges for traffic offenses and having a small amount of marijuana.
