Notorious Phillie-killer Vladimir Guerrero didn't make the Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot (shame on you, voters), but on Thursday he was named to the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame, along with former Phillie and Blue Jay Roy Halladay.

They'll be inducted on June 24 in St. Mary's, Ontario.

Halladay, of course, began his career with Toronto and spent his first 12 major-league seasons with the Blue Jays before being traded to the Phillies and making 103 starts for them over four years.

The Colorado native has indicated that both cities feel like home, and he's remained in the Phillies family, serving as a guest instructor at spring training in 2014 and 2015.

"Toronto has been my home away from home throughout my career and even to this day. My oldest son, now 16, was born in Toronto and considers himself Canadian," Halladay said in a statement.

"It was a privilege to live and play in Canada for as long as I did. The people here were kind, supportive, respectful and always seemed to welcome me home even when I came to visit and sat in the wrong dugout. To be inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame is just another example of exceptional treatment I have received from Canada. I can't explain the feelings that accompanied goose bumps every time you showed me how much I was appreciated and once again after getting word of this honour Canada has given me, those same feelings to go along with the goose bumps. Thank you!"

Guerrero, in his first year on the Baseball Hall of Fame ballot, narrowly missed induction. He received 71.7 percent of votes, falling 15 votes short of the necessary 75 percent. He looks like a near lock to make it next year.

Guerrero spent the first half of his 16-year career with the Montreal Expos, hitting .323/.390/.588 and averaging 38 homers and 114 RBIs per 162 games.

Other notable Canadian Baseball Hall of Famers include Phillies hitting coach Matt Stairs, Carlos Delgado, Felipe Alou, Pat Hentgen, Tim Raines, Rob Ducey, Rheal Cormier, Doug Melvin, Rusty Staub, Tom Henke, Roberto Alomar, Paul Quantrill, Larry Walker, Tony Fernandez, Tommy Lasorda, Dave Stieb, Cito Gaston and Ferguson Jenkins.
