Bring a title back to D.C.
Bryce Harper slipped up during his introductory press conference with the Phillies and said he wanted to 'bring a title back to D.C." This fan didn't forget.
It's a rip
One way to forget the name on the back of the jersey is to literally rip it out. That's what this fan did.
This was actually pretty wholesome. I heard this family being interviewed and they actually had a lot of nice things to say about Bryce Harper. I'm sure it was tough for the little guy to see a baseball player he knew for most of his life join a rival.
The Yankees fan
This was kinda curious. This guy in a Yankees hat did some creative alterations to his Harper shirsey. He came to the game with a Phillies fan, too.
Do you accept deferred payments?
The Washington Post reported that the Nationals offered Bryce a deal that included payments for as long as until 2072. Think he'd be willing to work out a similar deal?
Its time for a Soto jersey
These fans made a statement with their Bryce Harper jerseys. Given that I saw one person in the stadium wearing a jersey of Juan Soto, I think it's time they got behind him.
Clown costume, bro
Dating back to when Bryce called a bad postgame question a 'clown question,' this fan, and the fan in the next photo, were dressed for the occasion. The other sign reads "Pardon Papelbon" referring to the fight he and Harper had in the Nationals dugout as teammates.
This guy has a fun outfit and I appreciate the Stanley Cup he's drinking fun to pur some respect on the name of the defending champion Washington Capitals.
Conflicted Phillies fan
I thought this was kind of funny. This fan had a Jonathan Papelbon jersey and a Bryce Harper mask.
Fans in right field
I actually thought this was tremendous. Kudos to these fans for buying out the front row of seats in right field and wearing these shirts. It made for a great visual.
We've got your back
Even greater kudos to these fans, who bussed down from Philadelphia who, I think had a real impact in the outcome of this game. Harper spoke postgame about the fans in the stadium and I think having these fans here put the slugger at ease mentally and allowed him to peform to the best of his ability.
See ya later
After Harper drove in a run with a single in the sixth, the fans raced towards the exits.
Bryce wears Crocs
Once held by a fan who was in full voice for Bryce Harper's first three at-bats, this "Bryce wears Crocs" sign was left abandoned before his fourth at-bat.
