Spring training is nearly here. The Phillies loaded up the truck for the 1,058 mile-drive to Clearwater, complete with 10,000 Powerade cups; 2,400 baseballs; 1,200 bats; 900 pairs of socks; 600 pairs of pants; 600 batting practice hats; 350 pairs of shorts; 300 batting gloves; 140 helmets; 12 sets of golf clubs; 20 coolers; and 1 Phanatic hot dog launcher.

Our boys, Jim Salisbury and Ricky Bottalico are Making the Trip too. Our Phillies insider and former All-Star closer are driving down to spring training and making some fun stops along the way, including Zack Wheeler's hometown and one of Ricky Bo's most memorable minor-league posts.

Personally, I feel that no matter what happens the rest of the trip, this tweet from Jimmy Friday morning made it all worthwhile.

You can follow their adventures on Twitter and Instagram.

They kicked things off with a little Q&A, including thoughts on every Phillies fan's fascination at the moment: Kris Bryant.

Godspeed, fellas. I could have called this one.
