After a valiant five-year battle with cancer, former Phillies president David Montgomery died on Wednesday morning at 72.

At a media availability at 11:30 on Wednesday morning, several of the most prominent figures in recent Phillies history remembered their late friend. Phillies managing partner John Middleton, executive vice president David Buck, ormer Phillies managers Larry Bowa and Charlie Manuel, and club ambassador Mickey Morandini fought through tears in their rememberance of Montgomery.  You can see a clip of that press conference above.
