Mickey Moniak makes 1st career start with Phillies tonight

Mickey Moniak is in the Phillies' lineup, starting in left field for the first time as a major-leaguer.

Moniak, the No. 1 overall pick in 2016, bats ninth.

He arrived Wednesday and was used as a pinch-runner. His call-up was a bit unexpected but necessary because of a slew of Phillies injuries. They are without Kyle Garlick and are still without Jay Bruce for another few days.

Alec Bohm, who has looked solid at first base, is back at third base with Phil Gosselin at first.

J.T. Realmuto remains out of the lineup as he deals with a hip flexor injury. Andrew Knapp catches for the sixth time in seven games.

Right-hander Seth Lugo (2-3, 2.63) pitches for the Mets.

Here is the Phillies' lineup behind Aaron Nola (5-3, 2.40) in his 10th start:

1. Andrew McCutchen DH

2. Bryce Harper RF

3. Alec Bohm 3B

4. Didi Gregorius SS

5. Jean Segura 2B

6. Andrew Knapp C

7. Adam Haseley CF

8. Phil Gosselin 1B

9. Mickey Moniak LF
