When you're the owner of a professional sports team, spending goes a long way in energizing the fanbase. And right now, Phillies fans are very happy with John Middleton.

Over at Reddit, a nationwide poll was conducted on baseball subreddit regarding fans' confidence level in their team's coaching staff, front office, ownership, roster and farm system.

Phillies fans had the second-highest percentage of confidence in ownership at 92.8 percent, behind only the Astros at 94.1 percent. The Padres, who spent nearly as much on Manny Machado as the Phillies did on Bryce Harper, were third at 90.4 percent.

There aren't many surprises in the lists. Blue Jays fans, largely because of Vladimir Guerrero Jr., were 100 percent confident in the farm system. Just 2.2 percent of Marlins fans, subjected to so many years of terrible baseball around two World Series trophies, are confident in their roster.

Interestingly, only 2.2 percent of Nationals fans expressed confidence in manager Dave Martinez.
