Phillies games at Citizens Bank Park will be missing one big thing this week

The ballgame will sound a bit different this week if you're heading down to Citizens Bank Park to watch the Phillies take on the Chicago Cubs in a three-game series.

That's because longtime PA announcer Dan Baker's voice will be missing from the ballpark. Sadly, you won't get to hear him announce Cole Hamels' name once more this time around.

Baker took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to announce his absence.

Good afternoon, Phillies fans. Due to a lingering oral/sinus infection that must be addressed, I will, regretfully, have to miss an undetermined amount of games. I plan to return as soon as possible. Thank you, and enjoy the ball games. GO PHILS!

The 72-year-old Baker has been the PA announcer for the Phillies since 1972 and held a similar job for the Eagles for years as well.

Fans took to Twitter to send him get-well-soon messages in hopes of a speedy recovery and return to the ballpark.
