The Phillies will return to play Monday night against the New York Yankees at Yankee Stadium, Major League Baseball announced on Saturday afternoon.

The Phillies have been idle since Sunday when they finished a three-game series against the COVID-19-stricken Miami Marlins. The Phillies had their next seven games postponed out of an abundance of caution, to use MLB's words.

The Phillies were exposed to the Marlins last weekend. Phillies players and staff have been tested every day since then. Three members of the Phillies staff initially tested positive for COVID-19, but MLB now says two of those tests were false positives.

No Phillies players have tested positive since being exposed to the Marlins.

The Phillies were cleared to work out at Citizens Bank Park on Saturday. It was just their second workout since last Sunday. The ballpark had been shut down other days.

The Phils will play at New York on Monday and Tuesday then host the Yankees on Wednesday and Thursday.

Check back, we will have further details later Saturday.
