The Phillies made several moves before Thursday night’s game against the Miami Marlins … then did not play a game.
The game was rained out about 70 minutes before the scheduled 6:05 p.m. ET start. It will be made up as part of a single-admission doubleheader on Friday July 16.
Tickets for Thursday night’s rained-out game will not be valid for the July 16 makeup, according to the team. Fans who had tickets for Thursday night’s game will receive an account credit that can be used to purchase tickets for any remaining game, based on availability, according to the team.

The Phillies will open a three-game weekend series with the San Diego Padres on Friday night at Citizens Bank Park. The Padres feature Fernando Tatis Jr., Manny Machado and Yu Darvish, who is scheduled to pitch Saturday afternoon.
Zack Wheeler (6-4, 2.20) will start for the Phillies against right-hander Chris Paddack (4-5, 4.64) on Friday night.
Manager Joe Girardi did not reveal his pitching plans for the remainder of the series.
Lefty Matt Moore had initially been scheduled to pitch Saturday. He was moved to Thursday when Zach Eflin became ill. Eflin, who had been scheduled for Thursday, was pushed back to Saturday. Then the rains came, leaving everything up in the air beyond Wheeler’s start Friday night.

Prior to the rainout, the Phillies made a couple of roster moves.
Reliever Brandon Kintzler was activated from the injured list and Neftali Feliz was designated for assignment after two poor outings.
Feliz had not pitched in the majors since 2017 because of arm trouble. He had pitched well for the Phillies’ Triple A club this season and earned a promotion to the majors last week. He made two relief appearances and was hit hard in both. He gave up a lead on a grand slam Monday in Cincinnati and was tagged for an RBI single and a two-run double in Wednesday night’s 11-6 loss to Miami.
Feliz’s average fastball velocity dropped from 96 mph to 94 mph over the two starts.
The 33-year-old right-hander faced nine batters in his two outings with the club. He allowed four runs and four hits, including two doubles and a homer. He walked a batter and hit a batter.
Girardi said he hoped Feliz would clear waivers and rejoin the Triple A club.
“I told him that,” Girardi said. “I know it’s only two outings. I hope he goes down and continues to work. I still think he has innings left in him.”
