When you look back in Philadelphia sports, chances are you have one or two jerseys that have stuck with you throughout the years. Now, whether it’s because they are amazing … or the exact opposite, you can’t get them out of your head. 

There have absolutely been some clunkers you’d rather forget, but the ones you fall in love with? You can’t seem to stop talking about.

Here are some of the best and craziest jerseys ranked in Philly history — let’s get to it.

Let’s just say I’m thankful I wasn’t born to have to watch these unis in action. 

These were designed by Champion Products as a departure to the classic uniforms. They honestly look like poorly designed All-Star jerseys with a Pepsi sponsorship. In the words of Randy Jackson, “It’s a no from me, dog.”

Listen, I get it — the Eagles were doing this for their 75th anniversary in 2007 … that doesn’t mean they were good. 

A lot has changed in the franchise since the colors were first decided back in 1933. When it’s time to celebrate 100 years of the Philadelphia Eagles, let’s just leave those in the past shall we?

When you see these, you immediately associate them with terrible, terrible losses. They didn’t work for the Phillies in 1979 and they most definitely didn’t work for them in 2019. 

They do receive a bonus point though because of this picture of Andrew McCutchen living his best life while rocking it. Everyone should aspire to be this cool.

This one has always been a curveball for me. The modernized design, colors (shade of orange) and pattern make it seem like something people would love, but the execution is what ultimately lands this jersey so far down the list. 

The silver outline on the back is incredible, but that front Flyers logo … really is something. You can always appreciate the effort into trying to be creative, though.

During the Allen Iverson era, this jersey always fell under the radar for some reason — which makes zero sense, considering how awesome they are. 

It’s probably because most of the hype went to the black jerseys, which is understandable.

Whenever kelly green is mentioned, you either have people that are beyond obsessed with it … or absolutely hate it. I do like them, I just don’t understand the ridiculous amount of hype. (Call it a hot take, I suppose.)

The best part about these jerseys, are the helmets that are paired with them. #TeamMidnightGreen all the way.

If I’m being honest, these are in a deadlock for me. 

Those orange jerseys, originally designed for the 2012 Winter Classic, became an alternate until the end of the 2015-16 season. It gives off a classic hockey vibe and the overall design is one of the cleanest looks the Flyers have ever worn. 

Now, the black alternates that were first introduced in 1997 have to be an all-time favorite. Seriously, have you ever met a Flyers fan that hasn’t named this as their favorite jersey? Think about it. An iconic sweater that will hopefully make a return again in the future. 

There’s not a bad thing about either one — and while there really hasn’t been a terrible jersey in franchise history, (what a rare thing to say,) these definitely go down as the best of the best.

I said all of the hype went to these jerseys, didn't I? There was a good reason for it. 

Many would deem the black jerseys as the best in Sixers history. Those people would be correct. 

Did it ever make sense to have a black jersey given the color scheme has always been red, white and blue? No. To the person who decided to be bold enough and pitch that idea anyways — I hope you’re having a good day.

These are not only the nicest uniforms in Philadelphia, but MLB as a whole — if you think this is a hot take, I’m sorry to tell you that you are wrong. 

They’re different, yet classic, and whenever they wear them on the same day Aaron Nola is starting — you just know you’re in for a good day of baseball.
