Scott Kingery hits bizarre inside-the-park home run

Share

Scott Kingery nearly homered over the center-field wall to put the Phillies ahead in the bottom of the third inning Tuesday night.

Ronald Acuna Jr. went over the fence and appeared to perfectly time and rob a home run. Acuna did pull the ball back but did not maintain possession of the ball.

That's right, the catch controversy is not exclusive to the NFL.

The play was not reviewed and Kingery ended up with an inside-the-park home run. It was the Phillies' first inside-the-parker since Nick Williams' on the final day of the 2017 season.
