Phillies place Camargo on IL, call up Kingery, make other roster moves

MILWAUKEE -- The Phillies made a couple of roster moves before Tuesday night’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Infielder Johan Camargo was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right knee strain.

Pitcher Zack Wheeler was placed on paternity leave.

The Phils added outfielder Matt Vierling and infielder Scott Kingery from Triple A.

Kingery was waived off the 40-man roster a year ago. He was added back to the roster in the spot vacated by outfielder Roman Quinn, who was designated for assignment last week. Kingery was hitting just .185 (10 for 54) at Triple A. The Phillies need the infield depth with Camargo, Jean Segura and Nick Maton all on the IL.

More here on the moves and Wheeler's next start.
