Doc Rivers arrives in Philadelphia, interviews with Sixers

Former Clippers coach Doc Rivers touched down in Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon, arriving in the city at 4:20 p.m. (see video above).

A source tells me that he interviewed for the Sixers' head coaching job Wednesday night.

Rivers is considered one of the favorites for the job, but there are other teams interested in him. The Sixers moved very quickly after Rivers and the Clippers parted ways on Monday, setting up an interview for Wednesday.

Tyronn Lue interviewed with the Sixers Tuesday, a source confirmed. The Inquirer's Keith Pompey first reported Lue's interview with the team.

I'm told Rivers' interview is expected to be the last of the week. Lue and Mike D’Antoni have already interviewed in Camden, New Jersey. It sounds like the Sixers should make a decision by the end of the week.

A source says Rivers left Philadelphia on Thursday morning.
