Eleven Sixers appeared on the NBA’s injury report posted Friday night at 8:30 p.m.

Listed as out for Saturday’s scheduled game against the Nuggets for reasons unrelated to COVID-19 are Furkan Korkmaz (left adductor strain), Mike Scott (left knee contusion) and Terrance Ferguson (personal reasons).

What’s more significant is that seven players are listed as questionable because of health and safety protocols. A source told NBC Sports Philadelphia soon after the injury report was released that the team was awaiting COVID-19 test results and contact tracing.

The questionable players are:

  • Joel Embiid
  • Danny Green
  • Tobias Harris
  • Shake Milton
  • Vincent Poirier
  • Paul Reed
  • Matisse Thybulle

Seth Curry is listed as out because of health and safety protocols. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Thursday that the Sixers learned of Curry testing positive for COVID-19 during their loss to the Nets. Curry was visible on the TNT broadcast wearing a mask on the bench during the first quarter.

At shortly before midnight Friday, Wojnarowski reported that the players placed in the health and safety protocols had been in "close recent contact" with Curry, and that the Sixers "await the league's evaluation of the circumstances surrounding those seven players' individual cases." NBA teams must have at least eight players available in order to play a game.

The Sixers boarded buses back to Philadelphia late Friday night, ESPN reported.

Shortly after midnight Saturday morning, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported that a member of the Sixers training staff tested positive for COVID-19, leading to additional contact tracing within the team.
