The Sixers have agreed to a two-way contract with Grant Riller, a source confirmed Wednesday morning to NBC Sports Philadelphia.
The Athletic's Shams Charania first reported the news. Riller's contract is for one year, the source said.
Riller, a 24-year-old guard, was taken 56th by the Hornets in the 2020 NBA draft. He played 11 games for the Greensboro Swarm last year in the G League bubble, averaging 13.1 points and 3.5 assists and shooting 46.2 percent from three-point range.

It makes plenty of sense the the Sixers would want to add Riller to their organization. The College of Charleston product is a skilled and crafty combo guard. If everything pans out for him, he's the kind of player who could contribute to an NBA team as a second-unit ball handler and bench scorer. The Sixers are not especially well-stocked on perimeter shot creators.
Among the lingering questions with Riller are whether he can defend capably at an NBA level and whether, at 6-foot-2, he has the size to get to his desired spots against rangy defenders.
Earlier Wednesday, the Sixers announced that they waived Rayjon Tucker, which created an open two-way spot. Undrafted rookie Aaron Henry is the team's other two-way player. Both Henry and Riller will be able to split time between the Sixers and Delaware Blue Coats, the team's G-League affiliate.
Charles Bassey, the 53rd pick in this year's draft, remains unsigned, though a team source told NBC Sports Philadelphia on Wednesday that Bassey will be on the Sixers' roster this season on an NBA contract. Bassey and the team are working through contract details as it hasn't yet been determined whether he'll be on a one-year deal or multi-year deal, per the source.
