Flyers mascot Gritty a hit on Capitol Hill

Share

Gritty was on Capitol Hill Wednesday.

No, he was not announcing his candidacy for the 2020 presidential election.

But remember when he received 14 votes in Camden County?

Anyway, the Flyers' mascot was doing his thing in Washington, D.C., for the 2019 Hockey Day on the Hill and Future Goals demonstration put together by the NHL and the bipartisan Congressional Hockey Caucus.

Gritty, obviously, was a popular attraction.

Big fan Katy Tur of MSNBC got to meet the orange fella and was clearly thrilled.

She had probably been waiting for this moment ever since …

Per usual, Gritty was active and busy.

The guy just has swag.
