NLL becomes the latest league to suspend its season

Like the NBA and MLS, the National Lacrosse League has suspended its season as the coronavirus spreads in the United States.

The NLL did not put a timeframe on when it expects the season to continue.

Here’s the full release:

The Philadelphia Wings’ next game was scheduled for March 15 at the Wells Fargo Center. The Wells Fargo Center is closed for cleaning on Thursday after an NBA player tested positive for coronavirus.

The Wings (8-6) last played a home game on March 7 at the Wells Fargo Center.

Philadelphia Wings unveil their home jerseys for the 2019 NLL season

Tuesday was a big moment in the newest version of the Philadelphia Wings.

Philly’s lacrosse team, which left the city back in 2014 only to return as an expansion franchise this season, has unveiled its home jerseys for the 2019 NLL season. The Wings will play their home games at the Wells Fargo Center beginning in December 2018.

The team unveiled the black, charcoal, red and gold look — reminiscent of the NHL’s expansion team, the Vegas Golden Knights — in a ceremony at Atlantic Aviation. On hand were members of the military, police officers and firefighters, who accepted jerseys from the team.

Here’s a closer looks at the jersey itself:
