Neptuno parts ways with the Philadelphia Fusion

Veteran Philadelphia Fusion Support player Alberto "neptuNo" González will not be rejoining the roster for the 2020 season. After being a core member of the roster since its inception, now neptuNo enters the free agency pool for the first time since the inaugural Overwatch League season.

During his time on the Fusion, neptuNo was one of the starting supports through both seasons, acting as the main Lucio and Mercy player. He was considered one of the core members of the roster and played the most maps out of all players in season one of the Overwatch League.

NeptuNo joins both coach Elliot "Hayes" Hayes and Se-hwi "NamedHwi" Go as members of the roster that have left the team so far this offseason. With all the moves so far this offseason all three members should be highly sought after.

In the case of neptuNo, there haven’t been any rumors about his landing spot but it has been rumored that the Toronto Defiant decided not to trial the support player due to feeling that he may be too toxic.

As for the rest of the Fusion roster, the only played that has been re-signed is tank player Su-min "SADO" Kim, who joins fellow tank player Gael "Poko" Gouzerch and support player Isaac "Boombox" Charles who are still under contract as the confirmed returning members.

While the rest of the roster is mostly on team options, star DPS player Jae-hyeok "Carpe" Lee is the only player remaining that is a free agent and requires a new contract. While Carpe is still one of the most talented players in the league, it will be interesting to see if the Fusion decide to re-sign him or to move in a different direction for the 2020 season.
