Allen Iverson's BIG3 playing days are over.
Or did they ever really begin?
Remember that whole fiasco?
Philly certainly does. If you recall, Iverson did not play when the 3-on-3 league hit Philadelphia on its tour. "The Answer" was expected to do so, drawing a large crowd at the Wells Fargo Center before deciding late that he wasn't taking the hardwood and would only coach.
Iverson followed it up with a no-show in Dallas.
As you can see here, he didn't play much at all in Year 1 of the league.
None of that drama will exist moving forward as the BIG3 announced Monday that Iverson is returning, but strictly in a coaching role for 3's Company.
After all, he is 42 years old and put his body through the wars during his Hall of Fame career.
One cool addition to the league is Metta World Peace, who will actually play under his former name Ron Artest. For more on the players and rosters, click here.
Meanwhile, you'll see A.I. on the sidelines ... we think.
