Do not come at The Process: Joel Embiid responds to Bucks owner Wes Edens

Do not come at The Process: Joel Embiid responds to Bucks owner Wes Edens

Joel Embiid is already swatting away shots and it's only June.

Bucks owner Wes Edens, introducing his team's new GM on Monday, came at the Sixers' process when The Process ironically is at one of its all-time highs.

Here's what Edens said.

That shot made its way to Joel Embiid and let's just say he stuffed it back to Milwaukee.

Embiid wasn't done there. About 30 minutes later, on a separate topic, he fired at Howard Eskin — and it's pretty good.

Eskin responded, but is anyone really reading it?

Anyway, today was a good start to the week for Mr. Embiid.

JEOPARDY!

Gritty was a question on JEOPARDY!

With all Gritty has done in his short life, you’ve got to wonder where this ranks. It’s pretty cool. On Friday night, our beloved Philadelphia Flyers mascot was a question on Jeopardy!

Eric was all too happy to give the answer of Gritty for $800 in the category pertaining to the Almanac. It looked like Amanda was trying to ring in, too, because who doesn’t know Gritty these days?

This caps another banner week for the popular rookie mascot, who was also involved in the popular Overwatch League opening night ceremony in California just a day ago, where he was met with a rousing ovation.

The Flyers getting some love on Jeopardy isn’t the only game show Philly sports teams have been featured on in the past 12 months. Last year we were all treated to this reminder on Wheel of Fortune.

With how things started for Gritty, who would have guessed his rock star like fame now?

We’ll take no one for $1,000, Alex.

Joel Embiid almost destroyed Tracy Morgan and Regina King diving into stands

Joel Embiid almost destroyed Tracy Morgan and Regina King diving into stands

The stars were out in New York on Wednesday night to watch the Philadelphia 76ers.

A couple of celebrities sitting courtside got an extra-up-close look at Sixers' All-Star Joel Embiid when he went flying over the first row and landed on some poor soul with a few minutes remaining in the third quarter.

Just inches away from Embiid's big flying body was Oscar nominated actress Regina King. Right next to her was a man who can take a hit and keep on ticking, comedian Tracy Morgan. Their reactions were exactly what you'd expect from someone coming within inches of a 7-foot-2 giant flying at your head.

Thankfully, nobody appeared worse for the wear and they all had a good laugh about it. The Knicks were the only people who really took an L on the evening.

Brett Brown was asked about Embiid's big leap following the game.

"Just like I'm sure our owners were thinking, and our fans back home in Philadelphia were thinking, you respect his aggression, you respect his passion but you don't want that," Brown said to reporters postgame. "I say that out of love and care. It came after a turnover and he's jumping into the stands. It's something you hope to avoid."

Embiid downplayed the jump when talking to reporters postgame.

"I play hard every night. That’s just me. I only know one way to play," Embiid said.

He also didn't realize he almost took out the If Beale Street Could Talk star.

"I didn’t know," Embiid said. "I just got told. It’s good that I saved her life, I guess."

You can catch Joel Embiid and his teammate Ben Simmons this weekend as they suit up against each other in the NBA All-Star Game down in Charlotte on Sunday.
