Eagles center Jason Kelce rips brother Travis over grooming habits

Eagles center Jason Kelce rips brother Travis over grooming habits

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has a new reality television show on E! Network called Catching Kelce, where he'll date 50 women from 50 different states. Yeah, we don't really care either, except for the fact that it gets Travis' brother and Eagles offensive lineman Jason Kelce a little bit of air time, and that dude is hilarious.

Jason only makes a cameo appearance on the first episode, but he quickly establishes himself as the comic relief — well, outside some of the loonies gunning for Travis. At about the 4:30 mark in this video, the Pro Bowl center rips his brother for getting a manicure and pedicure, presumably in preparation for the show, comparing that decision to the thought process behind smoking crack in one remarkable exchange.

Jason: You're gonna tell me you went and had a manicure and a pedicure. Who are you?

Travis' manager: Don't a lot of NFL players get manicures and pedicures?

Jason: There's a lot of people that smoke crack in their spare time. That's not a reason to go out and smoke crack.

Travis: I'm not smoking crack.

Jason: I know you're not smoking crack, but you're getting pedicures, so you're like maybe four steps away from smoking crack. You're succumbing to peer pressure. You shouldn't. You're your own man and you don't just do what other people tell you to do!

If anybody could save this show, it's probably Jason Kelce. Alas, we're not sure he'll have any more luck carry this than he did the Eagles' offensive line last season.

Flyers mascot Gritty comes down from Lincoln Financial Field roof before Flyers-Penguins 2019 Stadium Series

Flyers mascot Gritty comes down from Lincoln Financial Field roof before Flyers-Penguins 2019 Stadium Series

Flyers vs. Penguins.

Outdoor hockey.

Lincoln Financial Field.

Yeah, you knew Gritty had something up his sleeve (or fur?) for Saturday night's Stadium Series at Lincoln Financial Field.

In fact, we had a warning:

Well, Gritty did not disappoint.

The guy actually came down from the roof of the Linc, lit up like a Christmas tree, as you can see in the video above.

This is Gritty's first outdoor game. He'll have many more, but this one will be especially memorable for the orange fella.

There's been plenty of other Gritty fun, too.

Eagles social media pokes fun at MLB free agency

Eagles social media pokes fun at MLB free agency

Just how ridiculous is the Bryce Harper saga right now? Even the Eagles' social media team is getting in on poking fun at Twitter’s most infamous source of MLB news.

Heyman, a well-respected member of the MLB media community, has earned such a dig by the Eagles from his nonstop posts about MLB free agency that don’t seem to advance the story or provide new information.

In fact, each one of his tweets are now met with memes and replies poking fun at that very fact.

He is, however, still breaking news and has been on the forefront of the Manny Machado, Bryce Harper beat. However, the length of time both of these megastars have taken to make their decision is hurting Heyman’s Twitter clout. Or, is Heyman hurting himself, posting so many updates that go nowhere?

Either way, the Eagles' social media team probably came up with this idea, asked someone if they thought it was funny and they said, “Sure, why not, let’s post it.”

This is another reminder of the level of lunacy this MLB offseason has reached. Fortunately, the Phillies will play a real baseball game on Friday and NBC Sports Philadelphia+ will have its first broadcast of the spring this Saturday.

As for now, we continue to wait.
