Gritty is comfortable in his own fur.
That's what makes him so great.
Not only did the Flyers give fans a night to remember last Saturday with a 4-3 OT victory over the Penguins in the Stadium Series, but Gritty also had himself a night.
He kicked off the festivities by floating down from the Lincoln Financial Field roof in front of 69,620 fans (see story).
He got loose, as well, during the second period. The fleet-footed Gritty could not be contained, not on this night.
So on Friday, he had a very valid question for ESPN.
Anyone know when @espn body issue comes out? pic.twitter.com/rGk9vEnrf4

If ESPN was smart, they'd include the Flyers' mascot. No interview or prerequisites needed. Gritty showed enough Saturday night.

Chaos broke out during a stoppage as a huge Flyers fan was streaking down on the field.
