Philly donut shop takes ‘Eagles fan on greased pole' to new delicious heights

Share

Eagles fans have taken the whole greased pole thing to delicious new heights.

As a quick refresher: local police in Philly were greasing up poles in the heart of the city to make it tougher for Eagles fans to climb up during the celebration of the NFC Championship win over the Vikings.

People found this hilarious. Many took it as a challenge.

The greased pole phenomenon has inspired local Philadephia shops in impressive ways.

Dottie's Donuts, who has shops in West Philadelphia and Queen's Village, made a unique and delicious donut-type pastry in honor of the pole.

They're calling this piece of art "Eagles fan on greased pole" and describe it as a "chocolate dough with vanilla and matcha glaze. Deluxe: raspberry vanilla, cookie butter, matcha pistachio. Filled: pb vanilla butter cream, cookies & custard."

This Eagles fan loved it:

And here's how it looks next to relatively boring normal donuts in comparison:

My next favorite greased-pole inspired creation is the below t-shirt from Hog Island Press. Just a classy t-shirt with a portion of the proceeds going to help the underdogs at the SPCA.
