Phillies' prospect Dylan Cozens is very good at hitting home runs.
Turns out, he's also pretty good at hitting his teammates.
In a Dominican Winter League game on Saturday, Cozens reportedly fought teammate and Mariners' prospect Boog Powell, according to La Voz del Fanatico's Arving Gonzalez.
While Cozens is pretty good at hitting the stitches off a baseball — as noted by his 40 home runs for Double A Reading in 2016 — he might be ever better at handing out stitches. Powell reportedly needed five stitches after Cozens was done with him.
What caused the teammates to come to blows? According to Gonzalez, Powell and others were joking about Cozens' inability to hit breaking balls.
Should the Phillies be concerned about their No. 6 prospect's temper? Former general manager —and fan favorite — Ruben Amaro wasn't when the team drafted Cozens in 2012.
"Yeah, I think he got into a couple tussles," Amaro told MLB.com. "But that's OK. I don't have a problem with that."
