Roy Halladay's sons participate in touching tribute before Blue Jays opener

The Toronto Blue Jays paid tribute to Roy Halladay in a touching moment prior to their opening day game against the New York Yankees on Thursday.

Instead of a traditional ceremonial first pitch, the Blue Jays had Roy's two sons, Braden and Ryan, walk out to the mound and simply leave a baseball on it.

Nobody could throw like Doc.

It was a pretty cool moment. You can watch it below.

Halladay's life ended tragically in a plane crash this winter. The Phillies will also honor Halladay this season by flying a No. 34 flag at Citizens Bank Park in addition to inducting him into the team's Wall of Fame. That ceremony will take place on August 4.
