There are two ways you can look at Sixers fans putting Sam Hinkie on a billboard after he decided to leave the organization a few weeks ago.
1. It's sad. Just sad. To put a departed GM on a billboard.
2. It's actually pretty good advertising for the NBA Draft Lottery Party on May 17th at Xfinity Live! put on by the folks at the Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast. Because people will talk about Sam Hinkie on a billboard and how sad it is that that's what Philly sports has come to.
In case you're unfamiliar with the Rights to Ricky Sanchez podcast or the Liberty Ballers crew, they are/were among the most staunchly pro-Hinkie groups that exists on the planet. Sometimes it felt like it was tongue-in-cheek support and other times you'd think that some of them may never want to watch basketball again because their Darklord has left the ship.
Either way, we can all get through this together. Use your fellow fans for support and look up to Sam whenever you drive by him on the highway this week.
The Eagles' social team and its hype videos have become ingrained in the annual tradition of football returning to the city of Philadelphia each fall.
Fans look forward to getting pumped up about a highly-edited two-minute video almost as much as they look forward to that first Merrill Reese game call in September.
And coming off a Super Bowl championship season, fans were once again hungry for the hype.
The Eagles released their 2018 hype video Wednesday afternoon and it doesn't disappoint.
This year’s narrator is none other than Black Thought of the Legendary Roots Crew. You don’t get more bona-fide Philly than that.
The video reminds us of the magic of 2017 but points out that this is all still just the beginning of something special.
A familiar Meek Mill refrain that became a true Philly sports anthem last season makes an appearance.
“Hold up, wait a minute, y’all thought we was finished? Victory is ours forever, ya'll thought that was rented," Black Thought voices. Let it be known that this Eagles team is just getting started and Eagles fans can't wait for more.
Enjoy the video below and get hype for Thursday night against the Falcons in South Philly.

No, the annual 16-game projection didn’t have the Eagles winning the Super Bowl last season. But it did have the Eagles in the playoffs. Well, technically, in the “playoff mix.” Ten wins, though. That’s sort of close to 13.
Nobody ever said these are 100 percent accurate, but taking a week-by-week look at the Eagles’ season ahead is entertaining. And if things shake out even close to the way they do here, fans will be pretty pleased.
Playoff predictions aren’t included this time, as the NFC looks super difficult to project this season.
