Tony Romo may not be really fat after all

A photo from Dallas Cowboys training camp of quarterback Tony Romo looking rather overweight took the Internet by storm this week.

"Could the starting QB of the Cowboys really let himself go like that," some wondered. "LOL what a fatso!" most Eagles fans thought.

But, as it turns out, it may have just been a case of wrong angle and bad lighting. At least according to the person who actually took the photo.

"It certainly appears as if Romo is overweight. He is not. It was some poor camera work on my part," the photographer and Dallas writer Jon Machota said in a piece for SportsDay.

Cowboys brass agreed:

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones laughed about the photo, clarifying that Romo is in "great shape."

"I think he's in some of the best shape he's been in," Jones said. "Everybody can always get a picture taken of you that makes it look different than it is."

So, Tony Romo isn't really fat. Which is a little bit sad for us. Probably fine for him though.
