NBCSN TO PRESENT FIVE ATLANTIC 10 MEN’S BASKETBALL GAMES THIS WEEKEND

Coverage Begins With Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Tripleheader on Saturday, January 14 Featuring Richmond – Saint Joseph’s

A-10 Basketball Doubleheader on Sunday, January 15 Tips Off at 2:30 p.m. ET with UMass – Rhode Island

STAMFORD, Conn. - January 12, 2017 - NBCSN continues its coverage of the Atlantic 10 men’s basketball season with five conference matchups this weekend, highlighted by an A-10 tripleheader on Saturday, January 14, and A-10 doubleheader on Sunday, January 15.

Saturday’s coverage begins at 12:30 p.m. ET, when Saint Joseph’s (8-7) hosts Richmond (10-6) at Michael J. Hagan ’85 Arena, in Philadelphia, Pa. Steve Schlanger calls Saturday’s game alongside analyst Dave Kaplan.

The action continues at 2:30 p.m. ET, when Saint Louis (4-12) takes the court against George Mason (12-5) at the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, Va. Kenny Rice and former Division I basketball player and coach Ron Thompson will call the matchup.

Saturday’s A-10 tripleheader on NBCSN culminates at 4:30 p.m. ET, when St. Bonaventure (10-6) hosts Fordham (7-10) at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y. Jason Knapp (play-by-play) and Blaine Fowler (analyst) will provide commentary.

NBCSN’s A-10 doubleheader on Sunday gets underway at 2:30 p.m. ET, when UMass (11-6) hits the court against Rhode Island (10-5) at the Ryan Center in Kingston, R.I. Rick Allen (play-by-play) and former Division I basketball player Rosalyn Gold-Onwude (analyst) will call the matchup.

The weekend of coverage wraps up Sunday at 4:30 p.m. ET, when George Washington (9-8) takes on La Salle (8-5) at the Tom Gola Arena in Philadelphia, Pa. Schlanger and Kaplan will handle the call.

All A-10 basketball games televised on NBCSN will also be streamed live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

A-10 COVERAGE ON NBCSN

NBCSN will present more than 35 Atlantic 10 basketball games during the 2016-17 season, including 25 regular-season Atlantic 10 men’s basketball matchups, as well as exclusive coverage of the second round and quarterfinals of the Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship at Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena.

NBCSN’s 2016-17 A-10 men’s basketball schedule features all 14 member schools, including Davidson, Dayton, Duquesne, Fordham, George Mason, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Richmond, St. Bonaventure, Saint Joseph’s, Saint Louis, and VCU. The schedule boasts three games with 2016 A-10 Championship winner Saint Joseph’s, and six games featuring teams from last season’s NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament (Dayton, Saint Joseph’s and VCU).

In addition, NBCSN will present three regular-season A-10 women’s basketball games, featuring five member schools, including Dayton, Fordham, 2016 Atlantic 10 Champion George Washington, St. Bonaventure and Saint Louis.
