STAMFORD, Conn. – March 9, 2020 – NBC Sports presents the 2020 Atlantic 10 Men’s Basketball Championship this Thursday and Friday from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y., with 20 hours of exclusive live coverage of the second round and quarterfinals on NBCSN. Headlining the tournament field will be the Dayton Flyers, who rank No. 3 in the nation, finished the season undefeated in A-10 conference play, boast a 29-2 overall record, and are led by National Player of the Year candidate Obi Toppin, who is averaging 20 points per game as a sophomore this season.
Thursday’s coverage of the Second Round on NBCSN tips off at Noon ET with No. 8 seed UMass – No. 9 seed VCU, followed at 2:30 p.m. ET by No. 5 St. Bonaventure facing the winner of Wednesday’s matchup between No. 12 George Mason and No. 13 Saint Joseph’s. Todd Harris will call the action joined by analysts Tim McCormick and David Kaplan. Corey Robinson will serve as courtside reporter.
Thursday’s second round coverage on NBCSN continues at 6 p.m. ET with No. 7 Davidson – No. 10 La Salle, and concludes at 8:30 p.m. ET with No. 6 Duquesne and the winner of Wednesday’s game between No. 11 George Washington and No. 14 Fordham. Paul Burmeister will handle play-by-play for the two evening matchups alongside McCormick, Kaplan and Robinson.
NBCSN’s coverage of the A-10 Championship quarterfinals begins Friday at Noon ET with No. 1 seed Dayton facing the UMass-VCU winner, and continues at 2:30 p.m. ET with No. 4 Saint Louis against the winner of the late Thursday afternoon matchup. Harris, McCormick, Kaplan and Robinson will have the call for Friday’s afternoon games.
Friday’s quarterfinals coverage continues at 6 p.m. ET with No. 2 Richmond facing the Davidson-LaSalle winner, followed by No. 3 Rhode Island playing the late Thursday night winner. Burmeister, McCormick, Kaplan and Robinson will call Friday’s primetime matchups.
Ahmed Fareed will host NBCSN’s Atlantic 10 Championship studio coverage on Thursday and Friday, and will be joined by former Division I football player and current college sports analyst Blaine Fowler and NBC Sports college basketball reporter Rob Dauster.
