At 6 p.m. ET tonight, Golf Channel will announce on Golf Central the 72 teams and 24 individuals selected by the NCAA to participate in the 2016 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships. The teams and individuals selected will compete in one of four regional championships, May 5-7, (18 teams and six individuals per regional). A total of 24 teams and 12 individuals will advance from the regional sites to compete in the national championships, May 20-25 at Eugene Country Club in Eugene, Ore. Golf Channel will air live coverage of the NCAA Women’s Golf Championships Monday-Wednesday, May 23-25.
Hosted by Lisa Cornwell, Steve Burkowski and Ryan Lavner, the regional selections announcement also will be streamed live on GolfChannel.com and feature live interviews and reaction from coaches and players throughout the show.
The four regional sites include Stanford Golf Course in Stanford, Calif., Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas, University Club in Baton Rouge, La., and Shoal Creek Club in Shoal Creek, Ala.
