ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 10, 2015 – Golf Channel will honor veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces on Wednesday with special themed programming celebrating Veterans Day.
MORNING DRIVE (7-9 a.m. ET): Golf Channel’s Veterans Day coverage will begin on Morning Drive with a special feature on Vietnam Veteran and PGA TOUR winner Ed Dougherty. Narrated by Golf Channel Insider Tim Rosaforte, Dougherty opens up about his tour of duty in Vietnam and how he discovered and developed a love for the game of golf. Following his return to the United States, Dougherty took up the game and rose immediately up the professional ranks, ultimately accumulating19 top-10 victories and one win on the PGA TOUR and two wins on the Champions Tour.
Josh Peyton, Veteran Golfers Association President and retired Army Captain will join Morning Drive live on Wednesday to discuss the Veteran Golfers Association and the VGA National Championship, taking place at Pinehurst No. 2.
GOLF CENTRAL (6-6:30 p.m. ET): Golf Channel will air highlights and interviews from the Warrior Open, an annual tournament that honors U.S. service members who serve and sacrifice to defend the United States, which took place Sept. 29-30 in Dallas, Texas.

Golf Central also will air highlights from the Simpson Cup, an annual match play tournament between teams of 13 injured wounded warriors from Great Britain and the United States. The event took place Sept. 20-23 at Royal St. George’s Golf Club in the United Kingdom.
