GOLF Channel to Provide Week-Long Coverage From 2022 PGA Show in Orlando
STAMFORD, Conn. – Jan. 26, 2022 – NBC Sports presents more than 50 hours of tournament coverage this week with five events across the PGA TOUR, LPGA Tour, APGA Tour, DP World Tour, and collegiate golf, highlighted by the PGA TOUR’s 2022 Farmers Insurance Open from Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif.
On Sunday, GOLF Channel will present the first-ever telecast of an Advocates Professional Golf Association (APGA) Tour event with final round coverage of the Farmers Insurance Invitational at Torrey Pines. Founded in 2010, the APGA Tour is a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring greater diversity to golf through professional tournaments and career development programs.
All week long, GOLF Channel’s studio shows are spotlighting the APGA Tour and its players through features, interviews, and on-site news coverage. Highlights include profiles on accomplished APGA Tour players Kevin Hall and Willie Mack III, an interview with APGA Tour CEO Ken Bentley, and reports from pro golfer Doug Smith, who co-hosts GOLF Channel’s Beyond the Fairway podcast and will be part of the tournament’s broadcast team on Sunday.
Also this week, GOLF Channel provides week-long coverage from the 2022 PGA Show in Orlando, Fla., showcasing the latest golf equipment, technology and fashion from major brands across the golf industry.
PGA TOUR: FARMERS INSURANCE OPEN
The PGA TOUR heads to Torrey Pines in La Jolla, Calif., for this week’s Farmers Insurance Open. The star-studded field will play one round on each the North Course and the South Course – which hosted the 2021 U.S. Open – on Wednesday and Thursday before the South Course becomes the sole venue played during the final two rounds.
GOLF Channel presents live coverage beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET today and 3 p.m. ET on Thursday, and provides lead-in coverage over the weekend.

LPGA TOUR: GAINBRIDGE LPGA AT BOCA RIO
The 2022 LPGA Tour season continues this week with the Gainbridge LPGA at Boca Rio from Boca Raton, Fla. World No. 1 Nelly Korda is the defending champion, and World Golf Hall of Famer Karrie Webb is expected to play, making her first appearance on the LPGA Tour since the 2020 Pelican’s Women’s Championship more than 14 months ago.
